Christmas 2006

"Dallas, Josh, and B. tearing up the playroom"

"The stocking were hung by the chimmney with care..."

"After we put out the presents on Christmas Eve"

"No pictures, I haven't had my coffee yet"

"Noelle enjoying one of her many new bones"

"I don't know about this zebra"

"My favorite toy from Christmas"

"I'm talking to you on my new cell phone. Yeah, I also got a MP3 player"

We had a pretty quite, uneventful Christmas this year. Christmas Eve my family came over and we didn't get into a fight and kill eachother we had a nice time together. Dallas and my nephew B. opened their Christmas pj's and a few toys. I showed B. the Norad Santa tracker and he wanted to go to bed a 6:30 pm!!! After Dallas went to bed Johnny and I sat up and put out her presents and just stared at the tree. Christmas morning started at 7:00 am when Mommy woke up and wanted to see what Santa had brought Dallas. I went into the living room and saw that Noelle had gotten into her stocking in the middle of the night and pulled out a few chew toys!!! Dallas wasn't really into Christmas this year. She didn't understand unwrapping her gifts so I helped her. She was scared of her big Zebra toy. She loved throwing her wooden puzzles around the living room. Her favorite toy was the $5 magic microphone I got from her speech therapist.

Later that day we went to my parent's house for dinner and more presents. TMX Elmo wasn't a big hit although she isn't terrified of him. My brother Josh got her a Mink blanket from Korea. It is so soft and will definitely keep her warm. Josh is stationed in South Korea and is home on leave with the Army. This holiday season was his first time seeing her. When we got home Christmas night I played with TMX Elmo and Noelle tried to tear his arm off!!! She goes nuts when you set him off. I got Johnny a video IPod for Christmas. I already got my present for my birthday last week, the camera I blogged about. We already had what we wanted for Christmas. A 22.12 lb. and 31 inch bundle of joy named Dallas!!!

I miss you Gramps

Twenty years ago today my Gramps went to be with the Lord. My Gramps was everything to me. He was my father-figure when I was young. He was my playmate and my best friend. He was the smartest man I ever knew. He could have gone to college but instead chose to marry my Grandma and start a family and become a farmer. I wish he could have met his great-granddaughter. I have the feeling they would also be the best of friends. I miss you so much Gramps.

Merry Christmas to All

"Like my new Christmas PJ's"

This Christmas will definitely be the most special ever because Dallas is home and it is her first Christmas. I never could have imagined how much joy she would bring into our lives. I never knew I could love someone so much. Johnny and I are definitely blessed and we already have all we want for Christmas. My heart goes out to those who are still waiting. I will be saying special prayers for you. So to all my friends in Bloggerland and the World Wide Web, MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Where in the world is Santa Claus

Check out this link to track Santa Claus. The last time I checked he was somewhere in between Japan and China!!! "Santa Claus is coming to town."

Update on the last week

"I don't know about this new toy"

"What are these funny things on the front"

"Yeah, in the playroom with Daddy"

"Letting Mommy practice with her new camera"

"Notice my long bangs"

"Playing on the swing with PaPa"

"Why can't I have Mommy's birthday cake before dinner"

"I learned to feed myself"

"Notice my new shorter hair do"

Hope you liked the cartoons. Things have been crazy around here so that is all I felt like blogging lately. Every creeping crud virus around here decided to come to my house lately and we have all been sick. We are finally all better now. Our weather is so crazy. Dallas was actually in shorts earlier this week and now she will have to dress warm today. I took the play yard from around the tree last night and put out the presents I have wrapped so far. Dallas was excited when she woke up this morning and saw the tree. She touched a few ornaments but so far has stayed away from it. Johnny wanted to give her the Wheely Bug I got her for Christmas early so she got it a few days ago. She won't ride it just yet but likes to play with it's antanae. Her PaPa decided that she needed her bangs trimed and proceeded to do so without telling us!!! I ended up taking her to the salon to get it fixed somewhat. She looks totally different without the hair in her face all the time. I baked cookies and brownies last night and let her help in the kitchen for the first time. It was fun baking with my daughter. She and daddy had to sample the goodies before bedtime!!! She even shared a few with Noelle. Here are some pics taken over the last week. I will post more later today.

Pajamas

Donna's FFFF challenge last week was "Pajamas". Well I am finally getting around to posting my collage of Dallas in her pj's.

Santa Visited Mommy Early This Year

Santa said I've been very good this year so he brought me my Christmas present early!!! Actually my birthday is tomorrow so I have always been used to getting one big present for my birthday and Christmas. I got the new Nikon D40 digital SLR camera!!! I also got a tripod for the camera and video camera. This way I can already know how to use the camera and take great pictures of Dallas on Christmas morning. I really want to learn how to take better pictures and figured this would be a great hobby for me. Now just to read the instruction manual and figure the thing out!!!

Santa Claus Pictures

I took Dallas to the mall yesterday to meet Santa Claus. She wasn't afraid of him one bit and didn't cry. In fact, she reached up and tugged at his beard to see if it was real and it was. She wouldn't smile for the photographer but I still love this picture. And of course Momma had to buy the biggest package they offered. After the pictures we snuck on over to Baby Gap to buy a few more outfits. A girl just has to have a denim jacket!!!

A Woman's Prayer

I saw this on one of my other forums and just had to post it for you all to read!!!

A Woman's Prayer

Now I lay me Down to sleep
I pray the Lord My shape to keep.
Please no wrinkles, Please no bags

And please lift my butt before it sags.
Please no age spots, Please no gray

And as for my belly, Please take it away.
Please keep me healthy
Please keep me young.
And thank you Dear Lord
For all that you've done.

Five tips for a woman....

1. It is important that a man helps you around the house.
2. It is important that a man makes you laugh.
3. It is important to find a man you can count on and doesn't lie to you.
4. It is important that a man loves you and spoils you.
5. It is important that these four men don't know each other.

Foot Note:
One saggy boob said to the other saggy boob: "If we don't get some support soon, people will think we're nuts."

Family FotoFun Friday Challenge #8

Donna's challenge last Friday was "Christmas Trees". We all know how my child loves Christmas Trees or at least the lights on them!!! Dallas didn't want to take a picture in front of the tree Tuesday night so I had to wait until yesterday morning when she was in the mood to sit still for the camera. I don't know what wierd thing the camera was doing in the first photo. I am going to use the second photo as part of our Christmas card. Don't you just love their matching pj's!!! Dallas thinks it is hilarious when I put pj's on Noelle and she will laugh in hysterics. Noelle doesn't mind because her hair is so short and she gets cold easily.

I Swore I Wouldn't Do It...

but I finally broke down and put the play yard around the Christmas Tree. After Friday's unfortunate bulb-swallowing incident, I had no choice but to protect the tree from being destroyed/eaten by my child. Dallas likes to sneak up on the tree when she thinks I'm not paying attention and tear off the glass ornaments. Guaranteed the darn cat will still get in there and mess with it!!!

Black Friday and the Emergency Room Visit

Yesterday started off very nicely. I dropped Dallas off at my Parent's and then took my nephew shopping and then to a movie. I saw a tree for $99 at a door-buster sale and I just had to have it. There will be no live tree in my house anymore. So after I bought the tree and everything else I could fit into my buggy, my nephew and I went to se the new movie "Flushed Away". Love the movie and highly recommend it. I made it back home by late afternoon and decided to put my new tree together while Dallas played with her toys. It was one of those multi-colored pre-lit trees. I have never owned one before but it sure seemed easier than putting on all those darn lights myself. I sat back to admire the new tree once I plugged it in. Dallas sat in my lap and we looked at the tree together. Maybe we would put on the ornaments later that night. Then it happened!!! I saw her chewing on something and fished it out of her mouth. It was a green plastic light holder off the Christmas tree minus the glass bulb. Oh sh*@. Thank goodness we live three minutes from the ER. Three x-rays later we left the hospital. The doctor could see the pieces of the bulb in her but there was nothing they could do. She chewed it up pretty good. Now we just have to let the pieces"pass" through her system. Of course I didn't sleep well last night because I watched her all night long. Needless to say, I have been chasing her away from the tree all day today. I think this child gave me 50 more gray hairs last night!!!

A Prayer of Thanks to You All

Our Father, who art in Heaven,
hear this little prayer
And reach across the miles today
that stretch from here to there
So I may feel much closer
to those I'm fondest of,
And they may know I think of them
with thankfulness and love,
And help all people everywhere
who must often dwell apart
To know that they're together
in the haven of the heart.

Potty Mouth Mommy

I really have to watch what I say in front of Dallas from now on. Her vocabulary increased by 2 words this morning!!! I was gathering laundry to do this morning and was fussing about something under my breath when my daughter looked at me and repeated "hell no". I asked her to repeat it and there it was plain as day. Personally, I thought her first curse word would have been "damm computer" because I am always fussing at the computer. Oh well, I will have to write this one in the baby book.

My Child Thinks She's a Dog

My child thinks she's a dog. Dallas is always playing with Noelle's dog toys and bones. I even caught her sitting in the dog bed today chewing on Noelle's rubber bone!!! They constantly play tug-of-war with Noelle's string bones. You have seen the pictures of her in the dog food. I think she needs play dates with humans!!! This is a video I took the other night of them playing with a bone.

Cutest Little Leopard in Town

Poor Dallas didn't know whether to laugh or cry this morning when I put on her costume. Then I put on her squeeky shoes and she was happy. She is just walking all over the living room squeeking away and having a good time. We are going to Grandma's house tonight for some seafood gumbo!!! Depending on Dallas' mood tonight we might take her around the neighborhood for some candy. Sure hope she can score me some "Sugar Babies" candy tonight!!!

My child is eating dog food

Noelle waiting impatiently to get to her food

Dallas crying because I took the food away from her

Yes, you read correctly DOG FOOD. She started playing in Noelle's food dish about a month ago but would never put the food in her mouth. That is until this week. I've actually had to dig it out of her mouth twice today!!! Poor Noelle goes into a panic and starts eating her dog food like crazy so Dallas won't eat it all first. They seem to like to share everything but this is ridiculous. Oh well, thank goodness we buy Noelle the good stuff.

Happy Six Month Anniversary Pumpkin

We have been a "Forever Family" for six months now. I will never forget that magical day when we saw you for the first time. You came right to us and never cried. I wanted to cry tears of happiness but I think I went into shock the moment I saw your beautiful face!!! Daddy reached right out and scooped you up and has never let you out of his heart since. You are the best thing that has ever happened to Daddy and Me and we love you with all our hearts.

Happy Six Month Anniversary to the "Twelve Jiangxi Beauties" of Group 947. Anna, Sara, Hannah, Serena, Dallas, Genevieve, Jilan, Anna-Grace, Audrey, Alexis, Mei Ling, and Anya.
