Sorry for not posting lately. Things have been busy around here. Dallas had a check-up with the ENT today. Her ears are fine and the tubes are working well. She had just a bit of earwax that had to be removed. She hates that so I have to hold her down. Dallas isn't feeling too well. She is still teething and has post-nasal drip. This has caused her to become quite hoarse. Otherwise, she is well. Here a a few pics I have taken of her over the past week. I will try to post more of an update in a day or so.

Teething beauty
Dallas is actually getting both of her bottom two-year molars. Poor baby doesn't feel good. She screams when I brush her teeth and her cheeks are chapped. Only two more to go at the top but I can't feel them coming out yet. She doesn't seem to have much of an appetite lately so I make sure she gets plenty of formula to make up for it. I need to go buy more teething tablets. Those things are a sanity life saver.

All Aboard....
for the "Dallas Express". I bought her birthday present yesterday and ended up giving it to her early!!! I do believe its been raining here for 40 days and 40 nights!!! Finally winter came to visit us for a few days and it is absolutely miserable outside. I figured this would keep her occupied. It is loud but at least Dallas is happy. Notice the genuine smile on her face. She was hamming it up for the camera. Dallas knows how to make the whistle work but hasn't figured out that you have to keep your finger on the other button at all times to make it move.

22 Months Old Today
"Oatmeal is good for you and tasty to"
"Want some Mommy?"
This sippy didn't make the cut.
I think we have a winner with this one.
Watching the Doodlebops with her sippy.
Dallas is 22 months old today. Time is passing by fast. It just dawned on me today that I would be the mother of a 2 year old in 2 months!!! Her therapy has done wonders for her and she is catching up quickly. Dallas is at her age level in gross motor skills. In fine motor skills she is at about 14 months old. I don't have the break down on her speech yet but she is still below her age level. Her vocabulary consists of less than 10 words. Never fear though, she still makes her needs known to us!!! I started sippy cup boot camp yesterday for her juice. I think I went through 6 different types of sippy cups before I found one she would tolerate. She seems to prefer the Avent sippy cup with the hard spout. She doesn't like the Avent bottle with a spout on it. Now I have to go spend more money on these particular sippy cups. Dallas has also shown an interest in feeding herself with a spoon or actually her hands. I let her feed herself oatmeal for breakfast the other day. I think she rubbed more in her hair and on her face than she put in her mouth. This child of mine is amazing and I find myself falling in love with her more and more everyday.

It's here, It's here!!!

My new Ergo Baby Carrier I ordered last week. I decided that in order to promote more attachment with Dallas I would get a baby carrier. I did lots of research and the Ergo won out in the end. I ordered the Cranberry with Little Critters print. I tried it out for a while yesterday while in Target and Dallas loved it. She was definitely more secure and relaxed while being out in public. I am going to start a walking program for my health. I think the carrier would be a great way for us both to get out and get some fresh air and spend quality time together.
