Second Birthday Party

We celebrated her 2nd birthday early because Daddy will be gone for her birthday. We invited all her friends to McDonald's. The kids had a blast and were worn out by the time they left. Dallas' birthday is March 10th but the party was February 24th.

Momma's New Set of Wheels

I love my new riding mower. I picked it out myself. I got tired of pestering asking John to mow the lawn so I bought the mower with part of the tax refund. I mowed half the lawn today then decided John should at least mow the other half!!! I have lots of new pics of Dallas to post for you but I wanted to show of my "new wheels" to you first.

She's Learned to Climb on the Furniture

Dallas learned how to climb onto the coffee table and the ottoman in the living room today!!! Guess I had better update the first aid kit. She also has a new word "Mowers", as in Flowers. We had her dedication at church today. She yanked her hairbow out right in the middle of the dedication. Otherwise, she was a perfect "little angel". I will post pictures from that when I get them from my Dad.

This Child of Mine...

Amazes me more and more everyday. She is totally blossoming right before our eyes. Dallas will be two next month and is totally toddler. She also has two of her two-year molars to prove it! She is very independant and doesn't want us to do everything for her like we used to do. I don't have to feed her anymore, I just have to clean up the mess she leaves behind!!! Bottles are a thing of the past after I discovered which sippy cup she preferred. We finally weaned her off formula and she is on whole milk. Dallas sleeps in her own bed through the night finally!!! John and I are back in our room and our comfy king-size bed(big grin on my face). Last night I was sitting here at the computer(no surprise) just messing around and trying to download some video from the digital camera. Dallas walks in and wants up in my lap. She puts her arms around my neck and puts her little lips to my cheek and squeezes her arms to give me a hug and kisses me at the same time. I just wanted to cry. I have waited for so long for her to do that. That was the first time she ever really hugged me and it felt like heaven. Of course I had to run and tell John. Now if I could only get her to change her own diapers and pick up her toys!!!

The Superbowl According to Dallas...

The best part of the game is nachos and cheese dip. For us it was watching Dallas eat nachos and cheese dip for the first time. She would double dip and triple dip and then finally just stuck her hand in the bowl. This was all by the end of the first quarter!!!
